Mr Darrell Nam is a medical graduate of Melbourne University and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (1974). He has been qualified  in Plastic Reconstructive and hand surgery since 1978. After a long career as a surgeon he now has continued in the medico legal field.

Darrell draws on a wide experience in his surgical discipline. He trained at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and overseas posts in the UK and USA. Initially he  worked in the Geelong region providing emergency services at various Hospitals, in addition to a full-time private practice. He has worked both in Melbourne and Geelong for the past 30+ years.

Darrell has been able to support his peers and teach trainees through his appointments variously in Victoria at Monash Medical Centre, Peter MacCallum Clinic and Western  Health. As part of his contribution to society, he has been engaged in pro bono services to the Pacific Islands and South East Asia through Interplast since 1985.

Throughout his career he has provided medico legal reports for his patients required through Worksafe, TAC  and in  private litigation and is now engaged as a medico legal consultant. He has completed  training in the AMA Guidelines 4,5,6. Darrell has competency in reporting on matters of General Plastic surgery, Upper limb disability, and Cosmetic surgery.
